alright canon, you got me. after strongly considering between canon or nikon for my next new camera… canon has tipped the scale heavily with their new 8-15mm zoom fisheye lense. sorry nikon, your days in my hands are numbered.

the only thing i don’t like is that this lense is f/4L. /nerd talk.
monica and juan’s wedding
here’s a few of the pictures i took for monica and juan’s wedding a few weekends ago. weather was super gloomy and first time shooting with the 5D mark II, but made the best of it.

chelanigans
last year’s boat party was pretty epic, and tough to top. and from these pictures, you probably would think this year wasn’t even close. but maybe it’s not fair to compare one ridiculous night on a boat vs. a non-stop weekend that was filled with action and relaxation at the same time. i guess it’s just one of those parties that you had to be at to realize the awesomeness… so i didn’t even bother with the camera really. these pictures are about 10% of what happened, the rest are lost in drunken memory.
20 of us arriving. unpacking. preparing.

releasing 3 hours of driving frustration.

what are you looking at.

it’s medicinal, namsayin

the crew in the morning watching the previous nights activities which were forgotten but remembered with barto’s vhs camcorder.

the scene of the crime(s).

it’s still her party and she’ll cry if she wants to.

gigantic thanks to my chelanimals for driving 3 hours (5 hours back) to kick it. and thanks to baby mama for putting this together, and thanks to the guy who caused all the sonic boom ruckus last week for lending us the place.
wedding crasher
great friend (and old room mate) vanessa and her husband rex had their wedding yesterday. this wasn’t the wedding i recently did photos for. i was actually in vanessa and rex’s wedding party… so that would be kind of rude for me to take pictures… but i still sort of did. interestingly enough, there isn’t one picture of vanessa nor rex in any of these. sorry guys. but someone else managed to get in almost all of these.

great depression in color
the following pictures are some of the only color photographs ever taken of the scene during the great depression. there’s more here but these are my favorite out of the bunch.

cold feet
did my first wedding photography gig today as well as shot with the elusive canon 5d mark II for the first time. test shot of nubuck kicks (early bday gift courtesty of baby mama).

ZzZzZoo
me and my new little family took a trip out to the point defiance zoo. it was my first time out there since elementary school. i don’t know if it’s the season, or the fact that animals don’t quite seem to be as amazing as they did when i was 7, or if the zoo plain out didn’t have anything special… but it was sort of… well… not as much of a zoo as i’d hoped. but here’s some aminals anyways.

even if it wasn’t much of a parade, it was still awesome to be out there with amanda and capri as a family. afterall, we have our own little animal to stare at all day. too bad she was asleep the entire time and didn’t even realize she was at a zoo.

bed time

hopefully we’ll be out of the hospital tomorrow. thanks for everyones support.
birth day
she’s here. she’s finally here. just writing a few words for now for those who stuck with us til the end and kept refreshing the site to hear the latest.
we’re both exhausted… amanda especially, of course. amanda nursed right away, which is super important because even though she isn’t producing milk yet, the little bit of clear liquid coming out of her breasts right now is liquid gold. it’s chock-full of disease fighting anti-bodies. but now Capri is in the nursery while they monitor her over night… so me and momma are gonna get the last bit of decent shut-eye while we can. goodnight from me and amanda. hello from Capri.

our boof for the jazzy jeff show

if you haven’t been to the new HG Lodge yet (previously war room), this is what the entrance to the dance floor looks like. the two stairs on the sides have been replaced by this one main opening in the middle. the interior decor is sprinkled with an outdoor northwest feel (HG = Hunter Gatherer) utilizing leaves, wood, and various game head placed on the walls.

parents just dont understand

this chick in the white dress was one of those girls who thought they were cuter than they actually were – dancing next to the b-boy circle… off-beat and all. and no, i wasn’t trying to take an up-skirt picture… can’t say the same for the dude gettin’ down though.
