back to basketball
if you remember, i was looking for some new basketball shoes to replace my kobe IVs. naturally, i thought of the new kobe V design, but thought most of nike’s renderings were hideous.
then images of the jordan 2010′s surfaced. and although many people hated them, i was always intrigued. so after reading stellar performance reviews, i followed my instincts.
comfy for sure. but the jordan 2010′s weren’t nearly as light as what i was accustomed to with the kobe IV. instead of settling with store options, i opted to create my own kobe V shoes via nikeID. with nike’s palette at my hands, i decided to stick with the jordan theme and pay homage to his airness – black, varsity royal, icey sole. i give you… my space jam kobe’s.
with past designs, i never IDed the shoes with words because i’ve always liked the more streamline look and thought words on the exterior of the shoe would draw too much attention from the actual design. but with these, i embroidered the inside of the tongue with my nickname to remind myself how i should play everytime i’m on the court.
