hey guys, lack of updates because i was busy with the rapture. nothing crazy going on at the moment. came back from portland… and it sucked… again. portland is so effing boring that i didn’t take any pictures of anything… except for us in our hotel room.

i’m back home now… since the weekend actually. but before i came back, i ate at the infamous in-n-out chain. now… i’ve been to california numerous times and can’t recall the last time i’ve had in-n-out. maybe 5 or 6 years ago? reason is… i’m not really a fan. really. i gave it another try anyways just to see if i was crazy or something… opinion didn’t change. actually, it may have gotten worse.

i had the classic cheeseburger meal… and no, i didn’t make it “animal style.” i just don’t get what all the hoopla is about. to me, in-n-out is the result of my krispy kreme theory. the krispy kreme theory is when people think something they aren’t able to get is a lot better than it actually is. krispy kreme used to be an out of state thing… and then we finally got it here in washington. people went ape shit for 1 week to get a taste and lines were to the freeway. now? i’m surprised they’re still open. if in-n-out opened over here, they would get shitted on by dick’s. sorry, i know that doesn’t sound right. but it’s the truth! dick’s burgers and fries and everything… way juicier! that didn’t sound any better. but whatever.

first off, like everything i point my camera at, these pictures do the car no justice. wish i was able to bring this car out to a better location for some action shots. this is easily my favorite car right now, and i’m not saying this just because it’s mercedes. you have to see this car in person, which you will in the next month or so, to see how beautiful this work of art really is. it’s unlike any other car out, and bmw can forget it… not even touching this thing.

the base model comes with the new v8 twin turbo power plant from mb. this isn’t strictly for the joy of ruining pavement with 402 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, but for the reassurance to know you can do this while outlasting the chasing cops at 24 miles per gallon. and we’re not even talking about the amg version here.

a mercedes isn’t a mercedes with top notch safety though. mercedes uses the new cls to showcase it’s latest technology. in addition to it’s array of already proven safety features, “active lane assist keeping assist” and “active blind spot assist” use various radars, cameras, and sensors to steer from danger in the event that you fall asleep or miss someone in your blind spot.

hope none of you ever get into a head-on collision with this car or you’re insurance company will be very pissed very quickly. lighting up the roads will be the new “intelligent lighting system” which is a fancier way of saying “thanks audi for the LED light idea, but we’ve improved on it and now these lights have brains of their own.” which adds up to $5000 a headlight… PER headlight.

this morning… errr actually yesterday morning… i found out i was taking off to south california… tonight…. or i mean now? well i’m here now. hope you’re thoroughly confused.

i’ll be in and out of here, so i packed lightly for the warm weather. however, i did wear that miami jersey in the cold seattle weather until i got here.

got my hands on a pair of nike’s i’ve been wanting not only because of their aesthetics, but their performance as well.

the first ones are the kobe VI’s in the “chaos” colorway. obviously, got these for basketball, but initial response is that these are much narrower than my kobe V’s and not much lighter. but the great thing about kobe’s recent signature swooshes is that they double up as nice runners.

speaking of runners, that brings us to the next pair: nike free run 2 in the challenge red colorway. goodness gracious these are comfortable and light as hell. could very well be my favorite for the time being.
